NLP through stories – story 54

A monk decides to meditate alone, away from his monastery.
He
takes his boat out to the middle of the lake, moors it there, closes his eyes
and begins his meditation. After a few hours of undisturbed silence, he
suddenly feels the bump of another boat colliding with his own. With his eyes
still closed, he senses his anger rising, and by the time he opens his eyes, he
is ready to scream at the boatman who dared to disturb his meditation. But when he opens his eyes, he sees it’s an empty
boat that had probably got untethered and floated to the middle of the lake. At
that moment, the monk achieves self-realization, and understands that the anger
is within him; it merely needs the bump of an external object to provoke it out
of him. From then on, whenever he comes across someone who irritates him or
provokes him to anger, he reminds himself, “The other person is merely an empty
boat. The anger is within me.”
Moral
Nothing inherently
has meaning except the meaning we give to it;
The response is based on the conditioning; stimulus is only
an opportunity to study our pattern of behavior.
On many occasions when we lose our cool we blame our
circumstance;
so long as we blame we are at the mercy of circumstance.
Between stimulus and response if we have choices then we
can make intelligent response.

Self responsibility is the prudent way to gain self mastery
NLP can help those who are willing to take responsibility for change

NLP through stories – story 53

SENSITIVITY
How shall I experience
my oneness with creation?”
“By listening,” said the
Master.
“And how am I to
listen?”
“Become an ear that
gives heed to every single thing the universe is saying.
The moment you hear
something you yourself are saying, stop.”
Moral
Being alive to
everything around is important in order to understand better.
Suspending one’s agenda and evaluation if one
can pay attention to what is going on around one can get enlightenment, may be emancipation
from enslaving thought patterns.
NLP calls this UPTIME
UPTIME refers to a more worldly
state of awareness that emphasizes external awareness
When you’re in uptime, you perceive the world
around you in much greater accuracy and you absorb patterns with much greater
facility.

?Are we getting the result we want by being positive?

?Are we getting the result we want
by being positive?
Positive thinking is expected to bring in positive result, in other
words the expected result.
Does it give expected result all the time if not most of the time for
all who carefully nurture positive thoughts despite even failing many times?
What could be the reason? Is it our fault in not having generated
enough positive thinking?
Can we say by the ‘negative’ result that
our strategy was not right?
Can we say we are not fortunate enough to get what we want?
Can we say we are a cursed lot to suffer from what we don’t want?
Yes we have the right to conclude in whatever way we want.
All these are only interpretations we make based on the meaning we give
to the outcome.
Yet what is the fact? What could be the reason that we don’t get what
we want? We don’t get as we want? We don’t get at the time we want?
Let me give an ‘INTELLIGENT’ answer.
Yes the answer is based on INTELLIGENCE.
We know we have body intelligence which governs the functioning of the
body and the body responds & reacts to stimuli from outside; we have
automated functions governed by this intelligence.
Equally we know the world is moving in order; moving in harmony;
There is a larger wisdom that governs the movement of this cosmos and
everything happens to maintain the equilibrium in this massive world.
I repeat everything happens to maintain the
equilibrium in this massive world
.
Hence you life effort, the result of effort – everything is governed based on
the law of equilibrium.
Now the tricky question is
– “Some are leading a rich life, how? Some with not so much of ability
or expertise seems to be leading a very rewarding life, how? How is it that a
person with real talent languishing in difficulties and does not seem to be in
the lime light at all?
These are definitely intriguing questions.
The answer is it is the way the world order has designed.
How?
Let me give an example
How many litres of milk are required to make one kg of butter?  20 litres
How many oranges are required to make one litre of orange juice?  15 oranges
How many flowers must honey bees tap to make one pound of
honey? 2 million flowers
How many sperm cells travel to reach embryo though only
one is needed to fertilize an egg?
About 500 millions

For one kg butter 20 litres of milk; does it mean major portion of milk is
waste?
For just one litre of juice 15 oranges; does that mean
the pulp is now a waste?
If just one sperm cell is sufficient then why 500 million
in one ejaculation?
Not so,
See the massive effort nature makes to produce a
masterpiece!!
It is all a part of nature’s design.
Looking at the world event from that perspective where
you and I also form part of it, if people are succeeding marginally or
phenomenally which are all relative in comparison, everything happens according to an order.
So if there are celebrities, outstanding achievers,
exceptional performers, and crorepathis then they are so because crores of
others equally capable, though not drawing money or fame like them, are making
them so according to universal order.
Ambanis’ Adanis’ Bill Gates’ are possible because of so
many nameless & faceless achievers in their own way but not equally
recognized or rewarded like them.
Celebrate life because of you there are outstanding
achievers & celebrities as per the design of world order
.
The world is a beautiful place to live because you are
living!
Keep aspiring! Keep doing! Get going!

Because of you the earth revolves, sun & moon
shine, stars twinkle.
You are the reason because you are complete
whole & perfect

You are a miniature moving
cosmos

What is BEST NLP TRAINING?

BEST NLP
TRAINING
A number of training organizations of late have included NLP
as a methodology for imparting skills.
There are a number of organizations that have come about to conducting NLP
workshops.
In one sense it is a very good indication of more & more are getting into
the awareness of NLP.
While this is a positive development, the flip side is ‘which
is best nlp training?’
It is the fact that there is no regulatory body to offer a standardized course
for imparting NLP Skill.
There is no standard syllabus to qualify a person undergoing NLP training as
NLP Practitioner, NLP Master Practitioner.
The certificates issued as ‘CERTIFIED’ NLP practitioner or
‘CERTIFIED’ NLP Master Practitioner are more a mere certification for
participation guaranteeing that the claimant has undergone  NLP training course for a particular number
of days with the certificate issuing organization.
There are a number of training companies affiliated to an organization in
UK/USA claiming authenticity based on ‘’direct disciple/ descendants’ of
original founders of NLP; and also the claim ‘the only approved certifying body’.
So the issue for seekers of NLP training is – ‘which is BEST
NLP TRAINING’ course?
It is very tricky to clearly specify.
Yet a few guidelines-
1) Look for what you want from NLP and check if the NLP
training organization can provide
2) Talk to the trainers of NLP and enquire to your
satisfaction before deciding
3) Give space for going wrong, in the sense, you may be
disappointed after the NLP training program
with the chosen organization; you must be ready to take it in your
stride and get going in your learning through NLP
Exploring NLP is in fact an exploration of oneself. It is a
journey of self discovery. Hence you must be willing to be patient and keep
exploring with the help of NLP.
A few points I wish to share that may serve as guidelines.
1) There is no apex body that centrally recognizes any NLP
certification.
2) Each organization unto itself.
3) Certificates are not certificates of merit or ability as
per regulation
4) There is no mandate that one can practice NLP or teach NLP
if only one is certified to do so with NLP
5) Certificate is no guarantee for instant recognition or
immediate opportunity for training.
6) Beware if any trainer/ organization claim that he/she has
changed people’s life and guarantees ‘your life will never be the same after
our program’
7) Fire-walk/glass walk are not NLP trainings
8) Seek for referrals before enrolling for NLP course.
9) Benefit from NLP is more in doing internalizing and
implementing than merely claiming (that I belong to so & so)
10) Check if the organization allows space for your query
& enquiry and facilitate you to interact from a position of authenticity
and integrity.
Best NLP training is more a matter of subjective experience than
objectively verifiable external factors.
You are your best judge and finally go by your gut feeling to
decide on
BEST NLP TRAINING.

NLP through stories -Story 52

A man after visiting Malaysia returned to India.
He wanted to build a beautiful house.
He invited architectural drawing.
He was not satisfied with the plan & rejected.
The architect was disappointed though she gave a wonderful design.
Likewise the man rejected every plan presented to him by many architects.
None could satisfy this man.
Coming to know of this episode an architect appraoched this man & promised he would be able to satisfy his need. The architect asked this man one simple question, “How do you want the design to be? anything specific you want too say?”

The man said,” Thank God you asked me; you see I have bought a wonderful door knob in Malaysia; I want this to be fit into a door; no architect showed a door in his drawing. no architect could design a house where my door knob can be fit in”

The architect said, ” Give me two hours; I will give you the design”
The architect took a drawing from the man & added a door with knob in the design .

Now he produced this new design to the man;
The man was thrilled.

NLP the science of excellence works towards specifics
NLP suggests a person to move towards specific outcome;
NLP suggests to understand the need of the subject by engaging in dialogue
NLP suggests to understand the map of a person

To go by the suggestion of NLP if the unsuccessful architects had enquired what the man had in mind; what he expected, the job would have become easier.

One architect was successful in asking precisely & understood the need and fulfilled appropriately.

The NLP presupposition is “People respond to their map”

Know the map & navigate aptly.

What makes NLP special?

NLP is special in the sense it has clearly identified what happens when a man thinks.
NLP has clearly studied the structure of thinking.
In NLP training sessions you are taught how to identify the pattern of thinking.
What happens when you think and how that thinking impacts your behaviour
In NLP course you are taught how you can think better in a way that gets the results you want.
People in NLP training workshops do this by funny creative imagination.
This makes NLP very special.

NLP through stories – story 51

The proponent of Theory of Evolution Charles Darwin was once insulted by a critic.
The critic said, ” Darwin! you say mankind evolved from monkey race.
“What a great thing your own face is a proof of your theory!”

Darwin said, ” true; I am very proud that I am the very proof to substantiate my own theory”

See how effectively Darwin changed an adverse comment into a favorable one.
Darwin conveniently changed the frame of reference;
thus a criticism has become a compliment .

This is said as RE-FRAMING  in NLP.

Reframing helps us to move from a dis-empowering state to an empowering state of mind.
Nothing is good or bad except the meaning we give to it.
Change the meaning of a situation; you automatically change your response to the situation.
Success in life depends on how responsive we are to life situations.
Reframimg helps you to be appropriately responsive & succeed in life.
NLP trains you to reframe.

NLP through stories – story 50

A king once wanted to weigh his royal elephant.
Yet could not do because no weighing machine was available.

Though he sought the advice of wise counsels  none could offer a solution.
A young boy came to know of the desire of the king & said he could show a way.
He was taken to the king.
The boy gave his idea –
‘First put the elephant in a boat in a water tank.
Due to weight the boat will sink.
Mark the water level on the wall of the boat .
Then alight the elephant..
Now start filling the boat with bricks till the boat sinks upto the mark .
Thereafter take the bricks & weigh conveniently.
The total weight will be the weight of the elephant.”
The king was amazed.at the brilliance of the boy.

The learning from the story is ‘even a mammoth task can be accomplished
if made into convenient components.
There is also a saying on  elephant — “how to eat an elephant?  A bite at a time”
This bit sized approach is called CHUNKING in NLP
When you chunk down you are able to be more & more specific to deal with the situation.
Difficulties when you chunk down diminishes.
Positives when you chunk down intensifies.
Also chunking up helps to you to collaborate with people.

NLP through stories – story 49

Thousands of years ago on a battlefield of Kurushethra  in India, Arjuna, the young warrior prince of
the Pandavas, is leading his army in a great  war against Kauravas, who have unjustly
usurped his kingdom.
As the forces gather on the eve of the ultimate battle, he
rides out with his charioteer, the god Krishna, to survey the enemy.
There in
the middle of the battlefield he sees
that the Kaurava’s army arrayed against him includes his own relatives,
teachers, friends, and loved ones.

Suddenly overcome with self-doubt and confusion, he calls
out to Krishna to stop his chariot, saying he is unable to fight.

Krishna does all his best to convince Arjuna to fight, the
result of which is the song celestial called   ‘Srimad
 Bagavad Gita’ ,   in 18
chapters, 700 stanza ,

Arjuna says, “Krishna ! Whatever you say I understand; yet
my heart is not convinced; my mind does not get the strength “

Sri Krishna then takes his ‘VISWAROOPA’  -turns himself into a vision of magnificence
and power beyond imagining.  Seeing
this magnificence Arjuna  gets convinced and
agrees to fight.
The learning from this event is that Arjuna gets his dilemma after ‘seeing’  the army of enemies;
equally Arjuna gets convinced after seeing the magnificence & power of Sri Krishna;
even after ‘hearing‘ Sri krishna’s wise suggestion Arjuna gets ‘feeling’ only after seeing.

Some prefer to see to understand ( V)
some prefer to hear to understand (A)
some prefer to experience or feel to understand (K)

We each have a preferred representational system.
For some of us it is visual, (V)
for others it is kinesthetic (K), and
for others it is auditory. (A)

In order to make some one understand better,
if we can present the matter in their preferred mode,
the job is done easily .

V-A-K  is Value Adding Knowledge

NLP through stories — story 48

A very old lady looked in the mirror one morning.
She had three remaining hairs on her head, and being a positive soul,
she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.”
So she braided her three hairs, and she had a great day.

Some days later, looking in the mirror one morning, preparing for her day,
she saw that she had only two hairs remaining.
“Hmm, two hairs… I fancy a centre parting today.”
She duly parted her two hairs, and as ever, she had a great day.

A week or so later, she saw that she had just one hair left on her head.

“One hair huh…,” she mused, “I know, a pony-tail will be perfect.”
And again she had a great day.
The next morning she looked in the mirror.
She was completely bald.
“Finally bald huh,” she said to herself,
“How wonderful! I won’t have to waste time doing my hair any more..”

The story talks of attitude; it is very apparent. yes positive attitude.
NLP says “it is not what happens in life but what you do with what happens that makes the difference’.
NLP talks of state management.
To be in resourceful state of mind is important to make the best out of any situation.
Our response to life situation is based on the meaning we give to every situation.
If we give a ‘positive’ meaning then we exhibit a positive response;
we regain & remain in an empowering state of mind.
One way of giving  ‘positive’ meaning is REFRAMING ..
meaning reframing empowers us in spite of apparent disappointments.
